David Bradley has been named CEO of Alta Bates Summit Medical Center.
David is an experienced, knowledgeable and insightful leader within Sutter Health, with more than 30 years of experience in health care management and consulting. David is well-respected for his strong relationships with physicians and medical staffs. He has vast experience overseeing hospital construction projects, which will be beneficial during the renovation and building projects at Alta Bates Summit.
David joined Sutter Health in 2000 as CEO for Sutter Gould Medical Foundation. Most recently, he served as CEO for Sutter Health’s two community hospitals in Marin County: Novato Community Hospital and Marin General Hospital. Under David’s leadership, Marin General was acknowledged for its quality care and received the prestigious “certificate of excellence” from the California Hospital Assessment and Reporting Task Force in 2009. David successfully oversaw the transfer of Marin General from Sutter Health back to local District control in June.
Prior to joining Sutter Health, David worked in New York in venture capital funded health care companies and in international for-profit health care systems. Beyond his extensive experience in hospital management, he was the Senior Vice President for Hospital Operations with Columbia-HCA and also served as Chief Operating Officer for Columbia Physician Services, where he was responsible for managing the practices of more than 4,000 physicians.
